誰也誤不了誰

斷斷續續，終於看完Jane Austen Wrecked My Life。在英國生活，多遊了莊園古堡，讀英國文學時不只看到情節，還能更細緻想像人文風景，所以看到關於英國文學的電影，都想看一下，以補自己文學知識的不足。這是一部法國電影，女主角Agathe在巴黎的莎士比亞書店工作，醉心於Jane Austen的文學作品，活在現代、卻夢想著過去，生活如是，對情愛的態度更如是。

我2019年暑假到巴黎旅行，特別到書店朝聖，《Before Sunset》的場景在腦海裡出現，可惜我已過浪漫之年，不再妄想日落巴黎般的邂逅。電影引用很多文學金句，連音樂歌曲都有出處，可惜我才疏學淺，未能接得住所有書包。

電影開頭是頗吸引的，Agathe埋首書堆，尋找真愛，將對愛情的憧憬寄託於小說之中，她沒有想過作品受人賞識，甚至獲邀到Jane Austen的故居繼續創作。電影到了這裡，便有種拖泥帶水之感。在英國紳士與法國（疑似）情人之間，誰是真愛？或者這就是電影想說的：Jane Austen誤了我的一生。

電影當然充滿文藝氣息，莊園生活亦很超現實（我後來才知道那個英國莊園是在法國取景的），但電影欠缺說服力。

1. 沒有經過愛情生活的單身女子，如何能寫出感動人心的愛情小說？

2. 好了，就當Agathe是天才，亦得到愛好文學的父親所啟發，電影最少要交代Agathe寫了什麼吧，但電影由始至終都沒有交代她寫了什麼，只有在她回法國前加入一場戲，問英國紳士Oliver一些她寫的小說問題。

3. 除了一些錯摸和玉帛相見的尷尬，我看不到Agathe為何被Oliver吸引。我想多看些英法文化碰撞而產生的情愫，就如Before Sunrise, Before Sunset等。

4. 令我最失望是最後的部份，拐了很大的彎說一堆「先窮後工」的創作道理。在我看來，Agathe沒有拿出勇氣去愛和被愛，用Jane Austen的作品合理化自己的軟弱，就如心理學者阿德勒所說，害怕失敗正是她半途而廢的原因。

因此，誤了Agathe一生的，不是Jane Austen，而是她自己。雖然電影拖拖拉拉，但我至少學到一些文學金句，配樂也好聽。還有結尾引用Jack Hirschman的詩：道路（Path）。
